Of all days...

I got so excited last week when I looked at the tv book and saw that one of my favorite German movies, Bella Martha, is on Wednesday at 8:15. "Oh joy!" I thought, because I've been wanting to watch this movie lately. Naturally, I assumed, I'd simply get to watch my movie and not have to choose.

Oh fates, why do you mock me so? Of course, I walked into work one day last week and noticed a sign on the bulletin board that read "Movie in the English Language," which caught my attention. ZUSAS (The Center for USA Studies) is hosting a screening of Super Size Me. Wednesday. At seven.

What to do, what to do? I've heard good things about this documentary, and I've been wanting to see it, but I also want to watch my movie on tv. Yeah, I guess I can rent Martha from the video machine (we can do that, can't we, Jess?), but it's the principle of the matter. Why must all of my entertainment options conflict?

Just like that party Jess threw last Thursday -- I of course was on my way to the airport (London update to follow!). What have I ever done to you, Karma? Except tempt you, obviously. Hmph.
