Chapters Seven through Ten

Yeah, so I didn't catch up on my reading til last night... and the weekend's quotes are going to have to wait til at least Tuesday, because i'm not bringing the book with me. So, here goes, in reverse-chronological order:

Chapter Ten, "Hallowe'en"
"But from that moment on, Hermione Granger became their friend. There are some things you can't share without ending up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve-foot mountain troll is one of them."

Chapter Nine, "The Midnight Duel"
"'We could have been killed - or worse, expelled.'" - Hermione

Chapter Eight, "The Potions Master"
"'I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering caulddron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through human veins, bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses ... I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death....'" - Snape

Chapter Seven, "The Sorting Hat"
"At last, only the Weasley twins were left singing along to a very slow funeral march. Dumbledore conducted their last few lines with his wand, and when they had finished, he was one of those who clapped loudest."
