The latest exciting development -- Sven came to visit me! He is back from Liverpool and popped into work to chat. He may or may not be going back to Liverpool, but if he does go back, that's just an excuse to go visit. (In fact, he told me in no uncertain terms that I should be going to Liverpool instead of London next week and offered to call up some of his friends to entertain me -- definitely something to consider in the future!) Regardless of his decision, I've been instructed to call him up so we can go out for a drink sometime next week.
I must say, I'm glad that the first friend I made here in Germany is back, even if it's just for a week. :)
