I was supposed to get together this weekend with my friend Thom from high school. Unfortunately, I couldn't get ahold of him any of the times I called, and he never returned said phone calls, so our plans went bust.

When I got home from work this afternoon, this message was waiting for me:

Thom: hi! sorry i wasn't in touch; i didn't know when was too late to call. after a very rough night on friday, i woke up to a call from the franklin county jail. i spent saturday (and part of sunday) fundraising to get my dogsitter out of jail...

This would only ever happen to him! And now we've gotta make plans to "reschedule at [my] convenience."
