DUDES! Less than FOUR weeks until my beach vacation! Talk about exciting. Kevin and I are going to start making a list (and checking it twice... thrice... frice?) of the things we need to take with us. Our friends Joe and Sarah are going to accompany us, which will be nice, as the house we rented is way too big for two. (Why there were only the two of us going is a long story, but I won't get into it right now. Or ever.)
Anyway, we've got to get prepared now because Kevin will be working two ten-day stretches in the (less than) four weeks until the trip. And because I'd rather not scramble around at the last minute trying to find sunscreen and aloe vera and beach towels and bug spray, we're making our list way early.
One of the things I want to do is have adequate beach reading -- any suggestions? We were at the mall today and stopped in at the bookstore, but I wasn't quite sure what I wanted. What's this year's "DaVinci Code"? Or even "Shopaholic" or Stephanie Plum book? (Don't tell me to get "Fearless Fourteen" -- I've got it on 14-day loan from the library, so I have to read it now, as it will have to go back before the trip!) HELP, loyal readers!

I got The Men I Didn't Marry at a sale at B & N...you should see if it's still going on, nothing recent is on sale, but lots of cheap books! I, too, am reading the Stephanie Plum series but have a long way to go until 14! I'm only on 4...Did Kevin make you read "I am Charlotte Simmons"? It was good. Not sure that it's great beach reading though...
